1: Get Started with Online Application Assistance

3: Via a DMV office

If you prefer to access DMV services in person or your specific needs require an in-person visit, most, if not all, driver license services can be handled at a physical DMV office location. Varying DMV offices sometimes supply different types of services so you will need to check before your visit to make sure the DMV closest to you provides the service you require. In addition, you can call to see if your local DMV allows you to make a personal appointment. Read more below to see if an in-person visit is either preferred or required.




Renewing your Missouri Car Registration

Renewing your tag is an easy process in Missouri, as you are given option of renewing in person, online, or via mail.

Missouri allows some drivers to renew their registration online, provided that they meet the certain state requirements. In order to register online, click here. You should receive your renewal stickers within ten days. 

To renew your Missouri tag in person, find your local DOR office. You will also be required to present a registration receipt or renewal notice, proof of insurance and payment for the required fees.

You are only eligible to renew by mail if you are out of state or can’t make it into an office. To renew by mail, call the Motor Vehicle Bureau at 1-573-751-4509 and request a packet for registration renewal via mail. When the packet arrives make sure to complete it, include payment for the required fees, and mail it back to the address listed in the packet.
